1. Collection, purification and distribution of water

Water is the source of life for all the life forms. With increasing population, pollution and climate change, access to clean water is becoming a luxury. Dhara Pran Raksha Foundation works to make the clean and purified water available. This is achieved by using technology to monitor the water quality and partner with the Government and NGOs working in water purification and distribution.

2. Implementation and supervision of River conservation plan of Ministry of Environment & Forest

In 1995, Government of India launched a National River Conservation Plan (NRCP) for the abatement of the pollution in major rivers in India. The plan included implementing various measures like designing, building effective sewage systems and sewage treatment systems to reduce the pollution of the rivers, construction of low-cost toilets to prevent open defecation, Riverfront development, public awareness and capacity building. Dhara Pran Raksha Foundation works as a partner agency for the NRCP to ensure that the government initiatives are actually implemented in the resource efficient way and are effectively addressing the core local environmental concerns.

3. Environmental awareness & training

Raising awareness about the importance of nature conservation & restoration is critically important to ensure the long-term sustainability of conservation & restoration initiatives. Ongoing nature conservation & restoration efforts can be further accelerated by more generous contribution and participation from all sections of the society. Keeping this vision, Dhara Pran Raksha Foundation works to arrange environmental awareness programs and training sessions especially focusing on the youth.

4. Plantation & Reforestation

Dhara Pran Raksha Foundation partners and participates in various plantation and forest restoration to combat the deforestation and reducing tree cover.
